Ainsley Nies graduated from CTP in 1978. She has remained involved with the program in many aspects and received an award from the California Department of Rehabilitation for Public Service. Ainsley has also served as a member at large for a national association, Association of Rehabilitation Programs in Computer Technologies. She created and sponsors the “Al Nies” Further Award for students of CTP programming classes. Ainsley launched her consulting business in 2005 after more than two decades of programming and project management work in IT and Finance at Hewlett Packard. Ainsley joined the CTP board in 2002.
Board Secretary – Tim McInerney
Applications Programmer – U.C. Berkeley
Tim McInerney has been a member of the Computer Technologies Program’s Board of Directors since 2005 and currently serves as board secretary. Tim attended UC Berkeley as an undergraduate. He continued his studies after becoming a quadriplegic in an ocean accident and earned a teaching credential and taught at the middle and high school levels. He enrolled as a student in the yearlong programming course at CTP in 2001. The course culminated in an internship with UC Berkeley, which led to an ongoing position as applications programmer with Cal’s Department of Information Services and Technology.
