Through the Looking Glass is conducting a national survey of mothers with physical disabilities who have at least one child 36 months of age or younger. They state the purpose for the survey like this:
There is very little research to find out how mothers with physical disabilities manage routine child care tasks. Are certain child care tasks more challenging because of a physical disability? How satisfied are mothers with physical disabilities about the kind and amount of assistance they are currently getting? Is it enough? Too much? Are family members preferable to non-family members for providing assistance when needed? Would technology or adaptive equipment be preferable to having an actual person help out? What would mothers with disabilities recommend regarding paid personal assistants to help care for their child if the mother needs it?
Eligible participants will have a chance to win a $250 gift certificate. Deadline for completing the survey is December 17, 2012. For more information about the survey click here.
