Get Help Paying for Your Education

There are more grants and scholarships out there for people with disabilities–and relatives of the people with disabilities–than you might think, and unlike loans, you don’t have to re-pay them.  We’re talking free money here!

A good place to start is StudentGrants.org, where you’ll find a good overview of disability-related educational funding sources.  The University of Washington has also compiled an extensive list of nation-wide sources.

Disaboom.com is a website that provides oodles of information and resources for people with disabilities on all manner of subjects.  They have a webpage on scholarships where you can narrow your search by specific disabilities.  (And while you’re at it, check out all the other neat stuff at Disaboom.)

I’m sure there are many more good sources of financial aid information out there, but at least these can get you started.
